Anna Musikhina is a media artist, researcher, and performer based in Groningen, the Netherlands.

At the core of her practice is Digital Wisdom: an attentive approach to attuning to and reimagining the algorithmic systems, data flows, and hidden infrastructures shaping our personal and collective digital presence.

Before turning to art full-time, Anna worked in the tech industry, specialising in biometric technologies such as facial and voice recognition. This background informs her critical perspective on the ethical, social, and technical dimensions of data usage and their implications for privacy, control, and agency.

Grounded in degrowth and slow technology, she works with limitations, diverse materials, and non-optimised processes, while simultaneously engaging with AI, algorithms, and media as both tools and critical subjects. This allows her to create site-specific and playful experiences in which hidden interactivity and layered meanings invite attentive engagement and reveal the opacity of technocapitalist systems.

Rather than direct resistance, she encourages noticing moments of transition, questioning routines, and imagining new ways of participation.
